The tailor squirrel

I'm self-taught in almost everything that I do.  Sometimes this results to the poor execution of the crafting methods which I dare to try out and consequently to some monstrous creations that I'm not at all eager to post on my blog!!!!
But this was not the case with needle felting!!! I fell in love with the needle felted animals that I saw on net and decided to take my chances! I bought all the necessary materials, watched some tutorials on youtube and got started. The process was sooo relaxing and easy! I enjoyed it so much!
So, here is my first needle felted creature! I present you my tailor squirrel! He is quite handsome -at least if you take under consideration that he is the first of his kind!

He is 10cm tall from head to toes. The spool adds another 8cm to his height. Isn't he a true gentleman?

DIY String Gift Wrap!

I like to use handmade gift wrapping when giving away my handmade gifts! It just fits!  So, this is what I came up with for the Tree Fairy glowing frame packaging:

The Tree Fairy

Another glowing frame is hanging on my workshop's wall, ready to be given to a young lady! This time I draw a smiling Tree Fairy siting in a tree hole! I covered the inner frame with a bright pink- fuchsia polka-dot fabric and this is the end result:

Winter tweets!

Wonderful as it was, summer has finally come to an end! Now, we are all looking forward to a warm and cosy winter! So does my favorite teapot which, as a result of my winter mood, was transformed into a beautiful home accessory! A twitter bird that rested on its handle made all the difference! It looks so lovely on my kitchen's shelf!

The bird was made out of paper clay. It is approximately 8cm long and 4cm wide.
