DIY potato stamped box

My candy bird deserved a candy packaging! I thus used the well-known technique of the potato stamp (that we used as kids) to create a beautiful candy box. It seems rather unnecessary but still...here are the steps:

Mom's slippers!!!

My mom is been knitting for a while some cute baby shoes that I'm planning to post when she will finish her beautiful collection! For the moment I'm posting my brand new slippers, made from my mother's sweet little hand! Thank you Mom! I really looove them! And so do my cats!

Candy Bird Mobile

So cute and colorful! This Candy Bird mobile brightens my mood whenever I lay my eyes on it! It's made out of paper clay, paper, wire and ribbons. The bird is approximately 5cm long and 13cm wide, while the perimeter of the hoop is 16cm.

 Inevitably the two sides of the bird are not exactly the same...but this is the charm of the handcrafted items: they have small, interesting "flaws" that make them unique!

On the wings and tail I added some beautiful paper feathers that have detailed drawings on one side and plain yellow paint on the other. Since in the above photos one can mainly see the yellow side I add some close-ups so as to show the other side too.

The Light Fairies

The Light Fairies are ready to release their power and brighten up a little girl's room! Here, still hanging on my workshop's wall:
